Two-dimensional electrophoresis analysis of proteins in neonatal cerebral cortices in vehicle- (a and c) and glutamate- (b and d) treated animals. Isoelectric focusing was performed at pH 4–7 (a and b) and pH 6–9 (c and d) using IPG strips, followed by second dimensional separation on 7.5–17.5% gradient SDS gels stained with silver nitrate. Squares indicate the protein spots with more than two folds intensity change between vehicle- and glutamate-treated animals
