Analysis of tissue-specific Cre activity. a qRT-PCR analysis of relative Cre mRNA levels in various tissues. Total RNA prepared from VIPR2-ERT2CreERT2Tg/+ adult mice was analyzed by real-time PCR and the relative Cre mRNA level in each tissue was compared to the level of the heart (n = 2). The blue line indicates the non-specific Cre mRNA level of’ the wild-type heart. Data are presented as mean ± SD.
